Emma Cohen, programme director

How was your journey to work today?
Quick. Now the Thameslink’s up and running again, it only takes about 20 minutes - although that kind of means I have no excuse to be late any more ;o)

What was the first thing you did when you arrived?
After trying to cool down in front of the fan by my desk, I got some breakfast and then grabbed a paper and looked over the day’s stories.

The first person I talked with was… My colleague Andy who works on another consumer tech account - I was at the set of a new TV show on Channel 4 last night, dropping by some client products which we’ve placed in the series and while I was there I managed to get one of Andy’s clients in there too so I was telling him the good news!

What did your to-do list look like today?
Pretty busy - it’s nearly the end of the month so there’s a lot of reports and planning to do for the next month. But there’s some fun stuff in there as well - more product demos, event planning and various celebrity endorsements to arrange. We’re also planning a news jump on the back of Big Brother depending on who gets evicted this week so I’ve got to gear up my team to be ready to go with different news angles over the weekend.

At 10:30 I… was in the radio studio with Christine Hamilton! She is fronting a campaign for one of our clients at the moment - she had about 15 interviews today and was brilliant!

What was your lunch break like?
Quite healthy for a change! Had a salad while I read Heat and Now - for work purposes obviously…it’s a hard life!

What was the major non work related story in your team today?
My new grad, Heather, told us she is friends with Sam from Big Brother - but we’re trying not to hold it against her.

What did you learn today?  No matter how many fans you have in the office, without air conditioning, you’re still going to fry.

At 4:30 I… went to see some of the lads mags like Nuts and FHM with another client to do some demos of their new game launching on the PS2 - which was great as it meant I got to play it some more too!

What was the most bizarre thing that happened to you today?
As I was leaving the radio studio, I bumped into David Seaman - literally; I walked right into him which, bearing in mind our heights, meant my head hit his stomach - bizarre, maybe…embarrassing, definitely.

Did you have an OK day?
Had a great day! The radio campaign went well, the lads mags loved the game and I survived a run in with David Seaman!

What are you doing tonight?
Having a drink with everyone from work, then heading to my local to meet my mates for a few more drinks there…
