Hotwire has conducted a major audit looking at the greening of corporate communications and its potential influence on consumer purchasing habits across Europe. The audit comes at a time when more and more companies feel compelled to promote their green activities or seek to use them as part of a deliberate marketing strategy. Many companies have been accused of overstepping the mark, conducting what has become known as ‘greenwashing’ and spurring an explosion in negative blog commentary.
