27 May 2008 - Hotwire, the international public relations consultancy, has been appointed to launch AmberFin, a new company that helps broadcasters digitise new and archived content across multiple platforms, including IPTV, mobile phones, HDTV and portable media players.
AmberFin was created by Snell & Wilcox, global pioneers in image processing hardware for the film and broadcast industry, to drive expansion in the digital media community. Through its software based model, AmberFin will reach out to new audiences including telecoms, Internet and broadband providers, in addition to the traditional film and broadcast industries. Hotwire has been appointed to lead the PR outreach in EMEA and Asia Pacific and also to co-ordinate the global campaign.
Scott Allen, VP Marketing at AmberFin, commented: “I have worked with Hotwire for over three years now and value their experience and strategic approach in the telecoms and broadcast markets. Hotwire’s expertise was key in the run up to the launch of AmberFin and they have quickly established themselves as a valuable partner. I am looking forward to working closely with Hotwire as we build the AmberFin brand globally.”
Maria Hudson, practice head and account lead at Hotwire, said: “Snell & Wilcox has an unrivalled reputation within the film and broadcast industries and our objectives are to achieve the same level of recognition and respect for AmberFin in these sectors, and to take the company into new digital media markets.”
