Hotwire rated best PR consultancy in The Sunday Times listing

London, 3 March 2008 - Hotwire, the international technology PR agency, has been named the UK’s best PR consultancy to work for in the annual ‘Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For’ listing. Hotwire, as published in The Sunday Times, is the 23 highest ranked small company overall from 868 that entered the annual Best Companies accreditation process.

The following extract is taken from The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For listing: ‘Hotwire manages to connect with what its young, dynamic workforce wants: great training, good rewards and excellent opportunities in the growing public relations company which specialises in technology businesses.’

The report continues by saying that Hotwire's employees 'appreciate the development offered and place it eighth in the personal growth category, saying the training is of great benefit to them (86% – the third-highest positive score for this question). Employees feel the job is good for growth (89%), offers the chance to learn (81%) and that it is valuable for the future (91%). Hotwire ranks 10th overall on all questions relating to fair dealing with staff, who get just five hours of client work a day in an attempt to control workloads.’

“We are really proud to be recognised as the UK’s best PR consultancy to work for,” said Brendon Craigie, managing director Hotwire UK. “In our opinion, a happy and motivated team is great for our clients. We are in the people business and we pride ourselves on recruiting the brightest and the best people, and in providing our team with a highly rewarding and progressive working environment. We’re not complacent, and we continue to look at new ways to improve things for our staff and our community. This year we have two exciting new CSR initiatives; a Green project to reduce Hotwire’s carbon footprint, and a Give project in which Hotwire employees can nominate charitable causes that the agency will support through staff time.

Each year, Best Companies and The Sunday Times celebrate the best small, mid-size and big workplaces in the UK. At least 90% of a company’s score comes from an employee survey and is dependent upon how highly employees score the company according to the eight factors the survey measures including leadership, personal growth, sense of belonging, wellbeing and giving back to society. Employees from participating organisations are surveyed based on a rigorous methodology  For further information see Hotwire’s Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work listing: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/career_and_jobs/best_100_companies/article3440483.ece
