Hotwire coordinates Acision launch across six continents

London, 31 July 2007 – Hotwire has just completed a month long campaign to launch Acision to the world’s media and analysts. The launch aimed to reach over 150 industry influencers across six continents all coordinated by the London-based agency.  Acision is a new half billion-dollar company targeting the communications and media industries and looking to make an immediate impact with a new brand and proven market leadership.  In its role as global lead agency, Hotwire coordinated the PR launch in 14 countries, as well as being the implementation team for the UK, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.  Acision was formed following the private equity purchase of LogicaCMG’s Telecoms Products business for £265m (US $525m), by a consortium.

Hotwire was appointed as the global lead agency for LogicaCMG’s Telecoms Products business in March 2006, with the brief of building the division’s reputation within the trade media.  With its launch as an independent venture, Acision will now be working with Hotwire to design PR campaigns that can reach out to the global business and trade media.

Launch activities used a variety of tactics to maximise local opportunities, including press conferences, media interviews, global analyst sessions and broadcast opportunities.

Scott Allen, global marketing director at Acision commented: “Hotwire has been an invaluable partner for us over the last 17 months, achieving our most successful 3GSM to date despite focusing at the same time on our initial sale announcement.  They are a hard-working and popular coordination team, and have done a fantastic job in ensuring that the local regional agencies were fully prepared to achieve the most successful launch possible in each region.  PR is an important part of Acision’s marketing activities and we are glad to have Hotwire on board to play a key role as we move forward.”

Brendon Craigie, UK managing director at Hotwire said: “The Acision brand has a big story to tell.  It’s a story that includes a long heritage and incredible expertise in mobile messaging with a twist of innovation and market agility, and telling that story consistently across six continents and in more than ten languages presents many challenges.   The key to successful global coordination is a rigorous focus on detail combined with a trust that the right teams are onboard in each market to provide local expertise and ensure creativity is retained.  We are very proud of the Acision launch as a great example of what Hotwire can help achieve on a global stage.”
