Hotwire is delighted to announce that Simon Hill, former UK tech director at Trimedia, has joined the company as UK business development director. In his new role at Hotwire Simon will be working across the various agency practices to drive new business opportunities and design and implement strategy for prospective clients.
Simon said of the move: ”Having previously run a traditional practice team, I am now exclusively devoted to business development - finding out what clients want and galvanising the team - which I love. Hotwire is on a fantastic growth path and it is really exciting to see the results as the business continues to sign up top-name clients.” Simon worked at Trimedia for more than three years on accounts including LogicaCMG, Colt Telecom and SanDisk, and prior to that he worked at MacLaurin on EDS. Simon also led the London office of Connors Communications from 1999-2003, and started off his tech career on a very firm footing working as a journalist on Computer Weekly, Computing and PC Week for over a decade.
Brendon Craigie, managing director of Hotwire’s UK office said of the appointment: “We wanted to bring someone on board with the experience and energy to keep up with the incredible pipeline of new business activity we have. From day one Simon proved he has that essential combination of industry knowledge and creativity that will help keep us ahead of the competition and allow us to implement intelligent strategies that provide real, measurable results for our clients.”
