30 March 2004: Hotwire chosen by talent management specialist Zynap for UK PR

Hotwire appointed to increase profile in business and HR media
London, March 2004 - Hotwire, the European technology PR consultancy, today announced that it has been appointed by London-based Zynap, a specialist provider of enterprise talent management software, to manage its UK media and analyst relations.

Founded more than four years ago by UK entrepreneur Eudie Thompson, Zynap’s web-based software provides tools that help organisations develop and retain their most talented people. With human capital expenses representing 75% of the total costs of most enterprises, successful talent management has been identified as a key area where organisations can achieve a competitive advantage.

Used by a number of major organisations including AstraZeneca and the NHS, Zynap’s enterprise talent management software allows the provision, expansion and automation of talent processes. As most organisations have some form of formal or informal talent management, Zynap’s software means that rather than being limited to a small pool of employees, the enterprise is able to cascade the talent management down to all employees.

The enterprise talent management software benefits the HR department and executives by providing an accurate overview of the organisation’s talent. It also allows unprecedented engagement with the employee by providing a ‘living CV’ complete with up-to-date accomplishments, performance assessments and career aspirations. This allows HR managers to conduct rapid succession planning and ensure that job vacancies are filled by the most talented individuals within the organisation before considering costly external recruitment.

Under the direction of Brendon Craigie, head of Hotwire’s applications and services practice in London, the PR programme aims to raise awareness of Zynap amongst FTSE 500 companies who have the potential to gain a competitive advantage through their human resources. Zynap has demonstrated its value for organisations in the public, financial and pharmaceutical sectors, and Hotwire will support their move into new vertical markets.

Brendon Craigie said: “If human resources was once seen as a soft business issue, it certainly is not today. HR directors are now having to raise their game considerably and finding themselves increasingly under the boardroom spotlight. Their need to retain and develop talented employees is not aspirational, it is a business imperative and Zynap is a clear innovator and leader in the field of supporting HR directors with their talent management issues. Therefore we have built a PR campaign that is solely aimed at engaging with HR directors through their extremely lively media sector. We are confident that this campaign actively supports Zynap’s business plan as the company grows and gains prominence over the next few years.”

Hotwire will report to Eudie Thompson, CEO of Zynap and Stephen Doran, UK Country Manager at Zynap. Eudie Thompson said: “Zynap is a relatively new player in the HR software market, but is driving the way forward in the talent management area. As the pioneer in this area, Zynap will appeal to large companies who have a need for intelligent human resource tools. Our objective is to move on from being perceived as a start-up. We selected Hotwire to cement our position at the forefront of the market by building strong relationships with key media.”
