Roger Darashah to spearhead co-ordination of pan-European programmes from France London, 29 September 2003 – Hotwire, the European technology PR consultancy, today announced the appointment of Roger Darashah as partner. Darashah joins the agency from Weber Shandwick where he was an associate director.
Darashah brings ten years technology PR experience to the role in which he will support Hotwire’s pan-European accounts, working with the London and Frankfurt offices. He will report to Hotwire’s regional partner for France, Bernard Cazelle.
“Roger has extensive experience across the technology PR sector from blue chip companies to start-ups. His experience of international PR co-ordination will ensure that PR programmes for clients run on a pan-European basis are both consistent in terms of message and relevant to each local market,” said Cazelle.
As associate director at Weber Shandwick, Darashah helped to establish a local office in Grenoble, France as well as managing pan-European PR and analyst relations programmes for Hewlett-Packard’s Services and Personal Systems groups. He was also actively involved in the agency’s new business initiatives and a member of the European Technology Practice Group supporting the network of offices and subsidiaries across the region. Prior to this, Darashah was PR manager with global telecommunications carrier Cable & Wireless based in London, where he delivered PR programmes for the corporate and business-to-business divisions of the company.
Prior to joining Cable and Wireless, Darashah was account manager at Miller Shandwick Technologies in London where he provided UK and pan-EMEA PR support to a range of clients including Adaptec, SSA, Mirror Image Internet and Aavid.
