Hotwire to work for Plumtree Software in France, Germany and the UK London, 18 April 2002 – Hotwire, the European technology PR consultancy, announced today that Plumtree Software has appointed it as its pan-European PR consultancy. Hotwire will work with Plumtree focusing on France, Germany and the UK, and also reaching out to other countries such as Switzerland. Hotwire will initiate a proactive campaign across Europe to strengthen awareness of Plumtree in the growing and very competitive corporate portal market.
“Plumtree is powering some of the most exciting corporate portals used today,” says Samia Rauf, head of marketing at Plumtree in Europe. “Increasing awareness of Plumtree´s successes is a key component of our aggressive European business plan. Hotwire´s approach suits our own working principles and we are extremely pleased to have appointed the consultancy across Europe, where a co-ordinated pan-European approach will help us synchronise our outreach into multiple regions.”
The programme builds on significant commercial success for Plumtree. Earlier this year industry analyst firm Butler Group ranked Plumtree as the number one corporate portal vendor for the second consecutive year (Source: Butler Group, April 2002). Plumtree has over 300 customers, including Procter & Gamble, Ford Motor Company, and over five million licensed users.
Kristin Syltevik, managing partner client services and co-founder of Hotwire, and Muna Azzawi, head of Hotwire´s UK applications & services practice, will spearhead and manage the Plumtree campaign across Europe.
Ute Richter, regional partner of Hotwire in Germany and Bernard Cazelle, regional partner of Hotwire in France will manage the programme in Germany and France respectively.
“Winning Plumtree is fantastic,” said Kristin Syltevik, co-founder and managing partner in charge of client service at Hotwire. “Plumtree is Hotwire´s first client across our offices in the UK, France and Germany and underlines the reasons why we established Hotwire in the first place – to provide leading companies in the technology industry with a co-ordinated approach to PR in Europe.”
