This year's 3GSM World Congress was the biggest yet. The new venue in Barcelona saw over 50,000 attendees, and for Hotwire and our clients too the show was a great success. We represented twice as many clients as last year, fourteen in total, and organised and staffed over 130 briefings with key industry, national and broadcast media as well as influential analysts.

A good PR effort for this gigantic show starts back in June with speaker submissions, and Hotwire's early bird approach certainly bore fruit, securing and supporting speaking slots for five clients. Three award submissions were prepared, and after competing with over 500 other entries, one came through to win its category and one received a commendation from the judges.

Over four days Hotwire's clients had seven hits in the much thumbed Show Daily, four of which were full page byline articles. {mospagebreak}Such a big effort requires an appropriately large team. In addition to the all-important back-at-base support, seven members of the international Telecoms team supported the show on the ground at Barcelona.
