In a news article in September 2000, PR Week announces Kristin Syltevik’s decision to leave Miller Shandwick in order to launch her own technology PR consultancy, Hotwire.

Kristin is quoted as being instrumental to Miller Shandwick’s success and she hopes to continue the same success with her new venture.  She is quoted as saying:
‘At the moment the hi-tech industry is buoyant – it’s the ideal time for a new venture.’

Agency World profiles Kristin Syltevik as she embarks on her new venture: to set up Hotwire PR.  She emphasises the values she would like Hotwire to embody and explains her desire to set up an agency which will be a fun and rewarding place to work.  She confirms that the agency will focus on her specialism in technology and new media rather than attempt to be a generic PR agency and is adamant about pushing into Europe: ‘Next January, just four months after setting up, Kristin expects to open up offices in Munich and Paris.’
