Hotwire launches 'stealth' internet start-up Webaroo

Hotwire's UK Regional Director Brendon Craigie explains the prospect:
"Webaroo is a very exciting client for Hotwire to be working with. The company is actually two years old and has been in a highly secretive stealth mode for that time. Even our client's closest friends had little idea what the project was in that period."

"The challenge for Hotwire has been to turn this secretive start-up into an Internet phenomenon. We have very carefully briefed over 21 journalists from the British press to help explain this new technology. We are very excited about the long-term prospects for this client - downloading large parts of the web to your laptop sounds impossible, but these guys have really pulled it off. We see this as a completely new approach to how people will search for information."

Hotwire has used its specialisation in technology to create a huge buzz about Webaroo online. On the day of launch no less than 17 online pieces appeared on websites, including BBC News Online, The Times, T3 and Stuff Online. The site also received full columns in the Guardian and in the Mail on Sunday's Night & Day Live magazine in it's debut week.
