Who says banks won't talk?

It's an oft-quoted axiom that banks won't talk to journalists about their technology implementations. The truth is that while banks are indeed all-too reluctant to commit to a press release, that does not necessarily mean they won't talk to journalists at all. A case in point can be seen on the front page of this week's Computer Weekly (04.07.06 link to the coverage).

This high profile coverage for Hotwire client, ILOG, was achieved by arranging for journalist Will Hadfield to speak with our contact at Dresdner Kleinwort at a conference. We call this 'customer inclusion' and that is all about finding the comfort zone of the client's customer where the bog-standard press release is not necessarily the be-all and end-all of the process!
