London, 16 April 2008 – Callataÿ & Wouters, the Belgium-based provider of core banking solutions, has appointed Hotwire to support the ongoing rollout of Thaler, its end-to-end banking system.
Founded in 1983, Callataÿ & Wouters has a long history of delivering software solutions and services, including system integration, and has built a strong domestic client base of retail, universal and private banks. Hotwire’s brief is to help the company to gain pace in the global market, where core system renewal is increasingly recognised as a crucial factor in achieving growth.
Callataÿ & Wouters selected Hotwire’s banking and finance practice based on its strong financial services experience and in-depth knowledge of the banking market. The recently initiated PR campaign focuses on the success of Thaler in enabling banks to quickly address the obstacles caused by legacy systems, as well the benefits of IT outsourcing and the company’s strategic partnership with SAP.
Scott McLean, head of banking and finance practice at Hotwire, will head the account and commented: "With an established product and a strong heritage in its domestic market, Callataÿ & Wouters is primed for the next stage of its evolution. We aim to directly support the company’s growth plans using our experience of delivering successful PR strategies across the banking sector. By adopting a strong thought leadership approach, we are confident of securing Callataÿ & Wouters’ position as a specialist and experienced player in the core banking industry. "
Hotwire will report to Kristin Waeterloos, marketing and communications director, at Callataÿ & Wouters.
