Information Builders chooses Hotwire for strategic PR

London, 31 October 2005 – Hotwire, the European technology public relations consultancy, has been appointed by Information Builders, the world leader in business intelligence and integration, to manage its PR programme across Europe. Hotwire will coordinate a profile-building and educational campaign in the UK, France, Germany and Benelux.

Information Builders is one of the world’s largest privately held software companies and has seen immense success in its 27-year history, servicing 12,000 customers ranging from large listed corporations to public sector organisations and small businesses.  This year the company announced plans for significant European growth to take advantage of the rise in demand for operational business intelligence in Europe.

Hotwire has been brought on board to manage PR across the region with the aim of communicating Information Builders’ leadership position in operational business intelligence.  The campaign will boost Information Builders’ profile and brand awareness and educate key audiences on its expertise servicing the needs of European organisations.

The campaign will be implemented locally through Hotwire’s wholly-owned offices in London, Paris and Frankfurt and with partner agency Loth PR covering the Benelux region from the Netherlands.  Brendon Craigie, director at Hotwire and head of the company’s applications and services practice will lead the account, reporting to Jennifer Griffin, marketing director for EMEA at Information Builders.

Jennifer commented: “We were looking for a European agency with a strong strategic approach.  They needed to be results-driven and able to use creative angles to elevate Information Builders’ brand awareness throughout Europe.  We are confident that Hotwire is the right agency to do this.”

Brendon Craigie added: “Although Information Builders is technically and financially very strong, but it punches below its weight in terms of its position on the European media landscape.   We have developed a very creative and hard hitting campaign that takes advantages of Information Builders assets and really highlights its leadership position in bringing the full benefits of business intelligence to business users.”
